Train line closed - Landchesbahn trains cancelled - Ländchesbahn shuts down this weekend—buses replace trains until Monday
Train services between Niedernhausen and Wiesbaden will face major disruptions this weekend. The Ländchesbahn line will shut down from late Friday night until early Monday morning. Passengers have been advised to check alternative travel options as replacement buses take over.
The suspension begins at 10:15 p.m. on Friday and lasts until 3:00 a.m. on Monday. During this period, no trains will run between Niedernhausen and Wiesbaden. The railway company has released a revised timetable online to help travellers plan ahead.
Replacement buses will cover the route, but they cannot carry bicycles. This restriction may affect cyclists who rely on the train for part of their journey. The disruption comes as separate roadworks also divert bus line 22 in Niedernhausen from March 9 to around April 10, 2026.
Meanwhile, ongoing reactivation works on the Aartalbahn, including bridges in Wiesbaden, continue throughout 2026. However, no details have been provided about further closures on this or other regional railway lines.
Passengers travelling between Niedernhausen and Wiesbaden must use the replacement buses this weekend. The timetable changes and bicycle restrictions will remain in place until Monday morning. Further updates on long-term works in the region have yet to be announced.
