Kuwait's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah, has conducted a series of visits to border posts and security installations across the country. The inspections coincided with Eid al-Fitr celebrations, during which he delivered greetings from the Emir and the Prime Minister to security personnel on duty.

The tour began at Kuwait's northern border, where Al-Yousef reviewed field operations, troop deployments, and security protocols. He later moved to the Al-Abdali border crossing, reinforcing the need for constant vigilance and robust protective measures.

During the visits, he shared a meal with stationed forces, thanking them for their dedication during the holiday period. He also praised their discipline and morale, highlighting their role in maintaining national security. Al-Yousef then inspected the General Directorate of Coast Guard, assessing maritime security readiness. His trip comes as Kuwait has intensified coordination between its Coast Guard, Navy, and other security agencies over the past five years. Joint patrols, intelligence sharing, and regional partnerships—particularly with Gulf neighbours—have been expanded to counter piracy threats and safeguard vital oil infrastructure and shipping routes in the Persian Gulf. Throughout the inspections, he stressed the importance of unity among all security and military branches. He called for decisive action against any attempts to destabilise public order or compromise national security, urging continued cooperation to protect the country's borders and stability.

The visits underscored Kuwait's commitment to reinforcing border and maritime security. Al-Yousef's remarks and inspections signal ongoing efforts to enhance preparedness and coordination among defence and law enforcement agencies.
