Nearly 20,000 Children Enrolled in Krasnodar Schools in 2025

Krasnodar braces for 20,000 first-graders by 2026

In September 2026, schools in Krasnodar are preparing to welcome around 20,000 first-graders, according to the city's Department of Education, as reported to Krasnodar News. Last year, nearly 19,500 children enrolled in the regional capital's educational institutions, with a slight increase expected this academic year.

Across Krasnodar Krai, approximately 70,000 first-graders are projected to begin school in the 2026–2027 academic year. This means Krasnodar alone will account for over 28% of all children starting their education in the region.
