Khabarovsk will hold its annual citywide Cross Procession on May 31. The event brings together clergy and residents for a collective prayer through the streets. This year’s route will follow a traditional path from Glory Square to Cathedral Square. The day will begin with the Divine Liturgy at the Transfiguration Cathedral. Metropolitan Artemius of Khabarovsk and Priamurye will lead the service before blessing the procession.

At around 11:30 AM, the procession will set off from the cathedral on Glory Square. Metropolitan Artemius, accompanied by clergy and parishioners, will carry crosses, banners, and icons. The route will end at the Dormition Cathedral of the Theotokos on Komsomolskaya Square. After the procession, attendees can join a festive programme in Muravyov-Amursky Park. The event serves as a prayer for peace, the well-being of families, and the prosperity of the region.

The Cross Procession remains a key tradition in Khabarovsk’s religious calendar. It unites the community in prayer and reflection each year. The gathering will conclude with celebrations in the city’s central park.
