Khabarovsk's Aerdromnaya Street closes for summer gas pipeline construction
Aerdromnaya Street in Khabarovsk will close to traffic from 10 June to 27 August. The shutdown is necessary for the construction of an intersettlement gas pipeline. Public transport will use a temporary route along Promyvchnaya Street during this period. The pipeline project spans 14 kilometres. It will link the Gorky-2 Gas Distribution Station to the new Khabarovsk CHPP-4 power plant. The goal is to switch the boiler plant to natural gas, improving efficiency and reducing environmental impact.
Temporary bus stops have been set up on Promyvchnaya Street to maintain services. After the main work finishes, the contractor will restore the area. This includes repairing the road, pavements, and installing permanent bus stops. The closure will last until late August. Once complete, the pipeline will support cleaner energy production at the new power plant. Residents and commuters will see normal traffic resume after the restoration work is done.
