Khabarovsk Krai to Open Two New Filling Stations by September

Two new filling stations will open in Khabarovsk Krai by early September. The move aims to tackle fuel shortages in the region’s remote districts. Officials hope the expansion will ease long-standing supply issues for local drivers. Fuel shortages in Khabarovsk Krai have caused problems for months. In Vanino District, the closure of several gas station operators and unstable prices on the fuel exchange led to rationing. Drivers faced long queues, with limits of just 30 litres per vehicle.

The situation also affected Sovetskaya Gavan District, where gasoline became scarce. To address the issue, Governor Dmitry Demeshin and Eduard Khudainatov, president of NNK, met at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. They agreed on plans to expand fuel infrastructure in remote areas.

As a result, new stations will open in Chegdomyn, Verkhnebureinsky District, and Sovetskaya Gavan District. The facilities are expected to stabilise supply and reduce disruptions for residents. The new filling stations will begin operations in early September. Their opening follows discussions between regional leaders and fuel industry representatives. The project targets persistent shortages in areas previously struggling with limited access to gasoline.
