Khabarovsk Krai Debuts AI-Powered Surveillance at Yerofei Arena for Smarter Sports Facilities
Khabarovsk Krai has rolled out an AI-driven 'smart' monitoring system at its sports facilities. The technology, now active at Yerofei Arena, uses facial recognition and video analytics to track visitors and enhance security. The new system relies on artificial intelligence and facial recognition cameras to oversee visitor movements. It claims a 95% accuracy rate in identifying individuals entering the facilities.
Connected to a cloud platform, the setup integrates with the My Sport automated system and Russia’s Ministry of Sport. This allows real-time monitoring of occupancy across all Yerofei Arena venues. Beyond security, the system archives footage in the cloud for incident and injury analysis. It also syncs with athletes’ digital profiles, recording training frequency and intensity for performance tracking.
Yerofei Arena is the first in the region to adopt this AI-powered surveillance. The project aims to improve safety and optimise the management of sports infrastructure. Officials will now have instant access to occupancy data and training records.
