Kenya's Ndovu Launches Kibaba Fund to Simplify Long-Term Investing
Ndovu, a Kenyan fintech firm, is working to reshape fragmented and costly investment markets into a seamless 24/7 platform. Using blockchain and strict regulatory compliance, the company aims to make investing more accessible. Its latest offering, the Kibaba Multi-Asset Special Fund, addresses growing demand for structured, long-term investment solutions in the region.
Founded in 2022 by Radhika Bhachu and Rogito Nyageri, Ndovu has introduced a fund designed for investors seeking stability in volatile conditions. The Kibaba Fund allows investments in both Kenyan shillings and US dollars, catering to those with a moderate risk tolerance.
The fund spreads investments across equities, fixed income, REITs, ETFs, and commodities. This mix helps protect against inflation and sudden market swings. Instead of relying on quick reactions, the fund uses data and economic trends to adjust its portfolio automatically. Investors' money is continuously shifted to the best-performing assets.
Entry into the fund requires a minimum of KES250,000 (around US$2,000) for the Kenya Shilling Fund or US$2,500 for the US Dollar Fund. According to Bhachu, the product was developed to meet changing investor needs in East Africa.
The Kibaba Fund provides a structured approach to diversification, reducing the need for last-minute investment decisions. With a focus on medium to long-term growth, it offers an alternative for investors navigating unpredictable markets. The platform's integration of blockchain and regulatory standards aims to improve efficiency and trust in the region's financial sector.
