Kazakhstan's Deputy PM tours Kostanay's economic growth projects
Nurlan Noglybayev, Kazakhstan’s First Deputy Prime Minister, recently visited Kostanay Region to review key economic projects. His trip included inspections of major industrial sites and discussions on boosting investment and exports in the area. During the visit, Noglybayev toured the KIA Qazaqstan automobile plant, a $310 million facility capable of producing 70,000 vehicles each year. The plant is also set to generate up to 1,500 new jobs for the region.
The delegation also examined the Tobyl Transport and Logistics Hub, a project valued at around 64 billion tenge. This hub is designed to strengthen Kostanay’s role as a transit centre. After the inspections, Noglybayev issued directives to support investment initiatives and expand the region’s export capabilities. His focus included accelerating industrial growth and improving infrastructure for long-term development.
The visit highlighted Kostanay’s progress in industrial and agricultural sectors. The new instructions aim to further attract investment and enhance the region’s economic position. Both the KIA plant and the Tobyl Hub are expected to play a key role in this effort.
