At a bureau meeting chaired by Senate Speaker Maulen Ashimbayev, lawmakers set the agenda for the chamber's session scheduled for April 30.

The bureau members decided to review Kazakhstan's Law On Civil Service and the accompanying Law On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of Kazakhstan Regarding Civil Service. The legislation aims to transition to a civil service model based on the principles of service orientation and customer focus, ensuring the effective fulfillment of state tasks, meeting societal needs and expectations, and professionalizing the government apparatus through a hybrid civil service model. It also seeks to digitize HR processes. The primary goal is to regulate public relations in the civil service sector, as well as relations tied to facilitating the functions and objectives of the state.

During the meeting, deputies also assigned to standing committees the bills previously adopted by the Mazhilis.
