Hankook Expands Truck and Bus Tire Business Across Europe with Eco-Friendly Solutions

Hankook is expanding its commercial vehicle tire business in Germany and across Europe. The company has introduced new services and eco-friendly solutions to support fleet operators. It also aims to boost production capacity for truck and bus tires in Hungary. Hankook has launched Road Assist 24h, a Europe-wide 24/7 roadside assistance service for fleet customers. This offering complements its existing support for commercial vehicle operators.

The company’s production facility in Rácalmás, Hungary, will soon produce up to 800,000 modern truck and bus tires annually after the latest expansion. This increase in capacity reflects growing demand in the sector.

To address sustainability, Hankook provides Alphatread retreaded tires. These deliver the same mileage as new tires but at a lower cost and with a reduced environmental footprint. Fleet operators can also receive support in developing recycling concepts for end-of-life tires.

Manfred Zoni, Director of Sales and Head of Truck and Bus Tires at Hankook Germany, leads the push to strengthen the commercial vehicle tire business. Joachim Kühr and Robert Luck serve as the main contacts for major truck fleet customers in Germany. Kühr, a Key Account Fleet specialist since February 2023, advises operators on product selection and application. Hankook’s expanded services and production capacity aim to meet the needs of fleet customers. The company’s eco-friendly solutions, including retreaded tires and recycling support, help operators achieve sustainability goals. These moves reinforce its position in the commercial vehicle tire market.
