Grasp hires Pleo's Fredric Ghatan as new Chief Product Officer to fuel AI growth

Swedish AI startup Grasp has named Fredric Ghatan as its new Chief Product Officer. The former Pleo executive joins the company as it scales rapidly, serving nearly 250 enterprise clients across 30 countries. His role will focus on shaping product strategy to meet growing demand in high finance and consulting sectors. Ghatan arrives with a strong background in scaling products and teams. At Pleo, he led product and operations, while earlier in his career, he worked at Volvo Cars. His experience aligns with Grasp’s ambitions to refine its AI-driven solutions for large enterprises.

Grasp’s technology automates tedious workflows by generating spreadsheets and PowerPoint decks without manual input. This reduces time and costs for complex financial tasks. The system has already attracted all Big Four consulting firms as customers.

Since 2025, the company’s Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) has quadrupled. CEO and co-founder Richard Karlsson welcomed Ghatan, emphasising his ability to drive product direction. The new hire will help enterprise clients maximise the value of Grasp’s AI tools as the business continues to expand. Ghatan’s appointment comes as Grasp strengthens its position in enterprise AI. The company aims to align its product development with real customer needs while scaling efficiently. His leadership will play a key role in shaping the next phase of growth.
