GoVolta launches daily Amsterdam-Paris trains and expands Berlin routes

GoVolta, a private rail operator, is expanding its cross-border services with new routes and increased connections. The company will launch a daily direct train between Amsterdam and Paris from December 14, while also boosting its Amsterdam-Berlin services. Tickets for the Paris route are now available, with prices starting at €19. GoVolta began operations in March, entering Europe’s long-distance rail market as a private competitor. The company focuses on direct international links between major cities.

From July 1, the Amsterdam-Berlin route will run six times a week. Berlin-Spandau will become the new terminus from June 14. The journey time is expected to drop below eight hours due to revised traffic routing during diversions in Germany’s network.

In September, additional stops will be added to the Amsterdam-Berlin service. From September 28, trains will call at Hilversum and Apeldoorn in the Netherlands, as well as Braunschweig and Magdeburg in Germany. However, the Amsterdam-Hamburg route will end in July.

To fund further expansion, GoVolta is issuing a €1.5 million bond. The company aims to build a community of travellers while strengthening its position in the market. The new Amsterdam-Paris route will start on December 14, operating daily. With fares from €19, the service aims to increase competition in cross-border rail travel. Meanwhile, the Amsterdam-Berlin connection will see more stops and improved journey times from late September.
