Google's AI tools get a major upgrade with cinematic video features and smarter workflows
Google has rolled out fresh updates for its AI tools, bringing new creative and productivity features to users. Among the highlights is Cinematic Video Overviews, a dynamic presentation tool designed for subscribers of Google AI Ultra.
The latest changes also improve workflows in Docs, Sheets, and Slides, while expanding AI capabilities in the design platform **Canvas**—though some features remain region-locked for now.
The new Cinematic Video Overviews tool lets users generate polished, animated presentations using AI. Powered by Gemini 3, Nano Banana Pro, and Veo 3, it creates fluid visuals and detailed storytelling. Gemini 3 takes the lead as the system's creative director, guiding stylistic choices for each project.
Access to this feature is limited to **Google AI Ultra subscribers aged 18 and older**, with content available only in English. No official details have been shared about its availability outside the US. Elsewhere, Google has streamlined file access—users can now open **Docs, Sheets, and Slides** directly in their native apps by clicking a Drive link. Meanwhile, **Canvas** has integrated AI-driven tools for creative writing and coding, but these functions are currently restricted to users in the **United States**. The update also introduces **one-tap AI revisions** for presentations. Users can refine slides with simple prompts, adjusting layouts, text, and visuals instantly from the interface.
The new tools expand Google's AI offerings, blending creative automation with productivity upgrades. While features like Cinematic Video Overviews and Canvas AI are still limited in scope, they signal a push toward more intuitive, AI-assisted workflows. Users outside the US, however, may need to wait for wider access.
