Freiburg's Berliner Allee Bridge Reopens After Months of Closure

After months of closure, a key transport link in Freiburg has reopened. The bridge on Berliner Allee spanning Haslacher Straße is now accessible again following extensive renovation work, the city of Freiburg announced. The roughly 50-year-old structure had been closed since June 2025.

The bridge connects the districts of Weingarten and Betzenhausen and also serves as a vital link to the B31 federal road. During construction, traffic faced significant disruptions, including detours and additional closures near the interchange areas.

With the work now complete, the route is fully operational once more. According to the city, the renovation aimed to ensure the long-term structural integrity and safety of the bridge.
