Schoolchildren and young people in Khabarovsk Krai can now join free guided bus tours exploring Russia’s wartime history. The 'Roads of Victory' program, now in its second year, focuses on the region’s role in defeating fascism and defending the country’s eastern borders. Over 1,100 participants are expected by the end of September. The initiative is part of the federal project We Are Together, launched under the presidential national programme Youth and Children. Organised by the Agency for Internal Tourism Development and backed by Russia’s Ministry of Education, the tours have already completed a third of their scheduled excursions due to high demand.
One of the key routes, *Khabarovsk—City of Military Glory*, takes visitors to major memorial sites and the Khabarovsk Regional Museum named after N.I. Grodekov. Participants will learn about the contributions of Far Eastern residents during World War II and the region’s strategic importance in safeguarding Russia’s borders. Tatiana Yakovenko, a local tourism company head, serves as the program’s regional coordinator. The project has also received recognition from Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The 'Roads of Victory' program will continue until late September, offering young people a chance to engage with their country’s history at no cost. With strong participation and official support, the tours aim to strengthen awareness of the Far East’s wartime legacy and its ongoing significance.
