France streamlines Belarus visa process with TLScontact's new system
Visa applications for the French Embassy in Minsk are now managed by TLScontact. The new system allows applicants to book appointments directly, without needing travel agencies. A small processing fee of €8 will apply per person on top of standard visa costs.
Applicants must start by registering on the TLScontact website. After filling in a short online form, the system will automatically assign an appointment once slots open up. This approach mirrors the current process used by the Italian Embassy, where users join a live queue without a fixed waiting period.
The service covers tourist groups and individual travellers, though certain categories—such as family members of EU citizens—will follow faster procedures. All visa interviews and document submissions will still take place at the French Embassy in Minsk.
A dedicated call centre will soon launch to assist with questions about the process and required paperwork. TLScontact's involvement aims to simplify bookings, though the €8 fee remains separate from consular charges.
The shift to TLScontact means applicants can now handle their visa requests independently. The system's automated scheduling and support services are designed to reduce reliance on third parties. Visa interviews and document checks, however, will continue at the embassy as before.
