Emcure Pharmaceuticals has completed the acquisition of Cutimed Inc., a Canadian dermatology and cosmetic products company. The deal, finalised on 1 April 2026, sees Cutimed fully integrated into Emcure's subsidiary, Mantra Pharma Inc., for up to CAD 5.05 million. The move aims to expand Emcure's presence in the international dermatology market. Cutimed Inc., based in Canada, specialises in creams, cleansers, and lip care products. The company reported an annual turnover of CAD 2.8 million before the acquisition. Mantra Pharma, the acquiring subsidiary, operates with a significantly larger turnover of CAD 81 million.

The amalgamation process, carried out under Québec's corporate regulations, streamlined operations by eliminating duplicate roles. No merger consideration was required, simplifying the transition. Emcure's strategy combines business expansion with operational consolidation, reinforcing its global footprint while improving efficiency.

Management has stated that the integration will enhance administrative processes. It is also expected to support long-term growth in the dermatological and cosmetic sectors. Emcure highlighted that Cutimed's product range complements its existing dermatology and personal care offerings. The acquisition strengthens Emcure's position in the Canadian market under Mantra Pharma's umbrella. The combined entity will focus on expanding its dermatology and cosmetic product lines. Administrative improvements and a broader portfolio are now key priorities for the merged operations.
