EIEL secures ₹1,481 crore in five major projects to expand energy infrastructure

Enviro Infra Engineers Limited (EIEL) has secured five major projects worth Rs 1,481 crore in March 2026. The deals mark a significant expansion for the company, extending its operations into Bihar, Assam, and Telangana. These wins also strengthen EIEL's position in India's evolving energy sector as the financial year draws to a close. The new projects include a major push into battery energy storage systems (BESS), valued at Rs 1,070 crore. This segment alone accounts for a combined capacity of 930 MWh, reflecting EIEL's early-mover advantage in a critical area for future infrastructure. The company's entry into BESS aligns with India's increasing demand for energy storage to stabilise power grids and support renewable energy growth.

Before these latest wins, EIEL already operated in seven states: Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh. The new contracts now expand its reach further, reinforcing its presence across the country. The projects also highlight EIEL's shift from a water-focused business to a diversified infrastructure player, combining core expertise with renewable energy and storage solutions. The timing of these deals signals strong execution momentum at the end of the financial year. Analysts note that the contracts improve revenue visibility for upcoming periods, providing a clearer outlook for the company's growth trajectory.

With these five projects, EIEL strengthens its market position in both traditional and emerging infrastructure sectors. The Rs 1,481 crore contracts underscore the company's ability to secure large-scale deals while adapting to India's energy transition. The move into BESS, in particular, positions EIEL as a key player in the country's evolving power storage landscape.
