Denver's rail network undergoes major route and frequency changes this June
The Regional Transportation District (RTD) has announced major updates to Denver’s rail network. Starting Sunday, 7 June 2023, several lines will see changes in frequency, routes, and temporary suspensions. The adjustments aim to improve service reliability during ongoing construction work. From 7 June, the C Line will return to Denver Union Station on a temporary basis. Meanwhile, the D, H, and L lines will be paused until further notice. These changes come as part of the Downtown Rail Reconstruction Project, which is set to finish in early 2027.
The R Line will now run every 15 minutes on weekdays between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., and on weekends from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Its route has also been extended south, adding stops at Sky Ridge, Lone Tree, and RidgeGate Parkway stations.
For the G Line, weekday service between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. will return to a 15-minute frequency, with weekend and holiday service running every 15 minutes from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The B Line will operate every 30 minutes on weekdays during peak hours—6-9 a.m. and 3-6 p.m.
A new T Line has launched, connecting Lincoln Station to I-25 Broadway Station. Its schedule varies throughout the week. Additionally, the E and W lines have received timetable adjustments to boost punctuality. The updates reflect RTD’s efforts to balance service improvements with ongoing infrastructure work. Passengers on the R, G, and B lines will see more frequent trains, while those using the new T Line gain a direct connection to key stations. Full details on schedules are available on the RTD website.
