Dacia Striker debuts as a budget-friendly lifestyle wagon under €25,000
Dacia has revealed the Striker, a new compact lifestyle wagon with a starting price below €25,000. The model stands out in a shrinking market, offering a mix of practicality and modern styling at an affordable cost.
The Striker measures 4.62 metres in length, making it longer than the Sandero, Jogger, and even the brand's upcoming Bigster SUV. Its design blends a shooting brake silhouette with raised ground clearance, giving it a distinctive look while maintaining versatility.
Inside, the wagon provides a spacious cargo area, catering to families and active lifestyles. Buyers will have multiple powertrain options, including a hybrid version with up to 116 kW (155 hp) and an LPG variant. An all-wheel-drive system will also be available on certain models. The Striker enters a competitive but thinning segment, where rivals like the VW Golf Variant, Opel Astra Sports Tourer, and Škoda Octavia Combi typically cost around €30,000. Dacia's offering undercuts these by a significant margin. The car is set to make its official debut in June.
With its mix of space, optional hybrid and LPG engines, and a sub-€25,000 price tag, the Striker aims to attract budget-conscious buyers. The model's launch in June will test whether its blend of affordability and style can revive interest in the compact wagon market.
