City officials are pushing ahead with a major traffic management plan to improve transport infrastructure. The scheme forms part of a wider programme aimed at reorganising roads, intersections and traffic flow. One early success has already been seen on Gorky Street near the railway station, where changes have eased congestion. The project draws on the city's master plan, incorporating key road and transport construction works. It also takes into account traffic flow data, local population density and long-term development goals. Plans include rebuilding intersections, redesigning traffic routes and installing modern traffic light systems.

Construction of a new transport platform, linked to Russian Railways' investment programme, remains on hold due to budget limitations. Work will restart once funding is secured, with the full infrastructure programme set for completion by late 2026. Despite financial challenges, the city is moving forward with the broader traffic management strategy. Authorities have stressed that the project aligns with ongoing efforts to modernise transport networks and reduce bottlenecks.

The traffic management plan will bring upgrades to intersections, traffic signals and road layouts. Officials have highlighted Gorky Street as a model for future changes. If completed as scheduled, the programme will reshape the city's transport system by the end of 2026.
