City cemeteries get major upgrades before spring visits surge

Local authorities have announced improvements to municipal cemeteries ahead of the spring season. By April 17, all sites will undergo repairs, including road fixes, parking upgrades, and better pedestrian paths. New bus services will also connect more areas to key burial grounds across the city. Workers will finish repairing potholes on cemetery access roads by the deadline. Parking zones will be cleared, and walking paths will be smoothed out to ease visitor movement. These changes aim to make visits safer and more convenient.

From April 17 to 26, vendors will set up stalls near the cemeteries. They will sell funeral supplies, providing easy access to essential items for mourners.

Public transport will expand to serve more locations. New bus routes will run to Staro-Vostochnoye, Novo-Yevreyskoye, and Novo-Vostochnoye Cemeteries. Additional services will also cover Zapadnoye (Western), Cheryomukhovskoye, and Yugo-Vostochnoye (South-Eastern) Cemeteries. North-Eastern, Novokirovskoye, Novo-Yuzhnoye, and Ostashkovo Cemeteries will also gain better transport links. The upgrades will be completed before April 17, ensuring smoother access to all municipal cemeteries. With extra bus routes and on-site vendors, visitors will face fewer difficulties during the spring period. The changes follow a planned schedule, with no further delays expected.
