Castlepoint Hotel reopens after months of licensing disputes
The Castlepoint Hotel in Masterton has reopened its doors after shutting in mid-February. The venue announced its return on Facebook, welcoming guests back for both accommodation and dining services.
The hotel initially closed due to licensing problems late last year. Though granted a temporary stay to operate over the holidays, it was later forced to shut again for breaching conditions. The former licence holder, Fireballs Imports Ltd, has since passed on good wishes to the new operators.
This weekend marks the relaunch of the hotel's restaurant, with meal services available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. While the alcohol licence remains in progress, the venue is promoting a selection of non-alcoholic drinks. A Facebook post encouraged customers to visit and enjoy the new offerings. The hotel has not disclosed the exact length of its closure or the full details behind the February shutdown. However, operations have now resumed under updated management.
Guests can once again book stays and meals at the Castlepoint Hotel. The restaurant's weekend service and non-alcoholic menu provide immediate options while the alcohol licence is finalised. The reopening follows months of uncertainty after earlier licensing disputes.
