Braunschweig's annual Schoduvel carnival parade will take place on Sunday, February 15. The event, known as Northern Germany's largest carnival, will bring over 5,000 participants to the streets. As a result, bus line 620 will face temporary rerouting and stop closures for the day.

The 48th Schoduvel parade will follow a six-kilometre route through the city centre. Due to road closures, buses on line 620 heading to Braunschweig will detour via the A39 highway. They will use a temporary replacement stop on Kurt-Schumacher-Straße instead of the usual locations.

For the return journey to Salzgitter, buses will depart from a temporary stop at John-F.-Kennedy-Platz. The regular route will resume only after reaching BS-Rüningen, Zollkamp. Passengers can transfer to Braunschweig's tram and bus network at John-F.-Kennedy-Platz, though some delays are likely.

Eight regular stops—Fabrikstraße, Helenenstraße, Cyriaksring, Europlatz, Am Wassertor, Fr.-Wilhelm-Platz, Rathaus (City Hall), and Schloss (Castle)—will remain closed on February 15. The changes apply only for the day of the parade, with normal service expected to return afterwards.

The rerouting affects only line 620, with temporary stops set up to minimise disruption. Passengers travelling between Braunschweig and Salzgitter should plan for possible delays. The Schoduvel parade remains a major event, drawing large crowds and requiring temporary transport adjustments.
