Bleker Group expands BYD's reach with new Münster electric vehicle dealership
The Bleker Group has opened a new BYD dealership in Münster, marking its second location for the Chinese electric vehicle brand. The expansion comes as demand for BYD's electrified models continues to rise sharply across Germany.
The move strengthens the group's position as a key partner for BYD in western Germany, with plans to boost regional sales and service coverage.
The Bleker Group, which employs around 1,000 people and generates €615 million in annual revenue, already operates 14 dealerships across multiple cities. Its portfolio includes brands like Citroën, Kia, Nissan, and now BYD, alongside other emerging electric vehicle manufacturers.
The decision to open in Münster follows strong customer interest in BYD's electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. Christian Voßkamp, Managing Director of the Bleker Group, cited this growing demand as the main driver behind the expansion. Kai Schröder, Head of Dealer Network at BYD Germany, described the group as a crucial partner for the brand's growth in the region.
BYD's market presence in Germany has surged in recent years. In 2024, the company saw 110,440 new registrations nationwide. That figure climbed to over 23,000 in 2025, with 2,629 units sold in just the first two months of 2026—a tenfold increase compared to the same period last year. The Münster site is expected to further increase BYD's visibility and accessibility in the region.
The new dealership in Münster will handle both sales and after-sales service for BYD vehicles. This expansion aligns with the Bleker Group's strategy to become a leading BYD partner in western Germany.
With electric vehicle adoption accelerating, the dealership aims to meet rising demand while reinforcing BYD's market position in the country.
