Bitget secures landmark crypto registrations in Mexico's evolving market
Bitget has completed key regulatory registrations in Mexico, becoming one of the first global crypto platforms to do so under the country’s updated virtual asset framework. The move follows Mexico’s push to refine its digital asset regulations, including stricter anti-money laundering rules for crypto activities. The company secured vulnerable activity registration with Mexico’s Tax Administration Service (SAT) and completed registration with the Financial Intelligence Unit (UIF). These approvals allow Bitget to strengthen its operations in one of its most important Latin American markets.
Mexico has become a major growth market for digital asset firms. Bitget’s registrations support responsible expansion and improve its ability to collaborate with local banks and financial institutions. The company also aims to better serve Mexican users while positioning itself for broader regional growth.
Gracy Chen, Bitget’s Chief Executive Officer, stated that the registrations demonstrate the firm’s commitment to building a compliant and sustainable presence in international markets. With its new regulatory approvals, Bitget can now operate more securely in Mexico. The registrations align with the country’s evolving digital asset rules and enhance the company’s ability to expand across Latin America. Local users and financial partners are expected to benefit from the strengthened compliance measures.
