A series of violent attacks in Berlin has left one man in critical condition and a community in shock. Police have arrested a suspect after two separate incidents involving a knife occurred within hours of each other.
The first attack took place around 5:50 a.m. at the Hermannstraße and Sonnenallee bus stop. A 33-year-old man was stabbed in the neck, suffering life-threatening injuries. He underwent emergency surgery and remains in hospital, where doctors describe his condition as critical.
Later that morning, at 9:35 a.m., the same suspect boarded a bus on Pannierstraße. Armed with a knife, he robbed a female passenger before fleeing the scene. Police responded quickly and apprehended the man shortly afterwards. Authorities are now investigating the suspect for aggravated assault and armed robbery.
The victim of the stabbing continues to fight for his life in hospital. Meanwhile, the arrested suspect faces serious charges linked to both incidents. Police have not yet released further details about the investigation.
