Bayer modernizes global payments with Broadridge Swift upgrade
Bayer AG has completed its migration to the Broadridge Swift Service Bureau (SSB). The upgrade modernises the company’s global payment infrastructure and improves financial messaging security. Over 20 banking partners participated in testing the new system before it went live. The project was managed through an agile model, allowing rapid development and close teamwork. This approach ensured smooth coordination between Bayer and Broadridge. The final system supports complex integrations, strict validation checks, and compliance with ISO 20022 standards.
Broadridge provided a secure, scalable platform that meets Swift SCORE+ performance requirements. The new infrastructure handles Bayer’s 4 million annual payment transactions across more than 80 banking partners. Before launch, message exchange tests were conducted with over 20 of these banks.
Marcel Bennemann, Bayer’s project manager, highlighted the benefits of the migration. He noted that the upgrade strengthens the company’s global treasury operations. The system now enables greater automation, real-time integration, and improved agility in financial processes. The successful launch gives Bayer a modernised Swift messaging and connectivity framework. The company can now scale operations efficiently while maintaining high security standards. This positions Bayer for smoother global financial transactions in the future.
