Astana bus routes disrupted by major roadworks this week
Several bus routes in Astana will face temporary changes this week. The adjustments come as roadworks begin on key streets, including full closures at two major intersections. Drivers and passengers should plan ahead for delays. Starting on May 30, repairs will take place on Abai Turysnov Street. Traffic will be partially blocked between A52 Street and Shaimerdenov Street until June 1.
From May 31 to June 1, two intersections will close completely. The first is where Shaimerdenov Street meets Nazhimedenov Street. The second is the crossing of Shaimerdenov Street and Abai Turysnov Street. Both closures are for mid-level road repairs.
During this period, bus services will also adjust. Routes No. 9, 13, 27, 55A, 55B, 66, 74, 82, 302, and 303 will follow temporary schedules or detours. Commuters are advised to check updated timings before travelling. The roadworks will last until June 1, with partial and full closures affecting traffic flow. Bus passengers should expect route changes on ten key services. Authorities have urged residents to allow extra time for journeys during the repairs.
