Temporary traffic restrictions will be introduced in Almaty along a section of Stroitel'naya Street due to construction and installation work as part of a large-scale infrastructure project, reports Liter.kz.

The work is being carried out under the "Western Sewer Collector Construction Project in Almaty," with Pavlodar River Port JSC serving as the contractor.

Restrictions will affect a section of Stroitel'naya Street, as well as the area around the intersection of Abai Avenue and the Stroitel'naya Street bypass in the Nauryzbay District. The work is scheduled from March 30 to June 10, 2026. According to officials, traffic limitations will be introduced in phases—adjusting as work progresses on different sections. A full road closure is not planned, which will help maintain partial traffic access and minimize disruptions for residents and drivers.

The project holds significant importance for the city. The new 34.9-kilometer Western Sewer Collector will connect over 175,000 residents of the Nauryzbay and Alatau districts—as well as around 20,000 residents of the Karasay and Ili districts in Almaty Region—to the centralized wastewater system.

Residents and visitors are advised to plan their routes in advance and account for possible changes in traffic patterns due to the ongoing work.
